In the early 1940's, while working for the Philco Corporation, Charles Gerhard developed and patented the ice cube tray. His passion for appliances grew, and in July of 1945, he started his own company in Glenside, Pa, now known as Gerhard's Appliance. As Gerhard's graciously moves into their 75th year of business, they continue to have eyes on the future and hearts firmly rooted in the core values of the previous generations.
