Heymann Center is a 2,200 seat performing arts center with 2 grand ballrooms for an additional 16,000 square feet of flexible-use space. Heymann Center facilitates around 180 events each year. Common event types: Broadway Musicals, Theatre, Dance, Concerts, Comedy, Cirque, Banquets, Mardi Gras Balls, Fundraisers, Corporate Meetings, Trade Shows, Job Fairs. As a municipal venue, Heymann Center has proudly served the Acadiana region in times of need as an emergency medical needs shelter and as a vaccination center. Adjacent to Ochsner Lafayette General hospital, Heymann Center leases land to Ochsner for its two parking towers in exchange for free parking for Heymann Center patrons.
