India’s real estate sector is on track for unprecedented expansion, with a projected 16 per cent annual growth rate propelling the market to an estimated USD 10 trillion by 2047, according to a report by Colliers and the Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI).

The Indian real estate market is projected to skyrocket to USD 5-7 trillion by 2047, possibly reaching USD 10 trillion, driven by economic growth and urbanization, according to a joint report by CREDAI and Colliers.

Manoj Gaur, Chairman, CREDAI National, said India has set its sight on becoming a $10 trillion real estate market, driven by the sector's ability to adapt and innovate. "Landmark initiatives such as RERA and REIT regulations have enhanced transparency, improved investor confidence, and streamlined operations across the sector," he added.

Indian real estate market size is estimated to jump multi-fold to USD 5-7 trillion by 2047 and may even touch USD 10 trillion driven by rising economic growth and rapid urbanisation, according to a report by CREDAI and Colliers.

The sector is projected to become a $10 trillion market by 2047, while its share in India’s gross domestic product (GDP) is estimated to increase to 14–20 per cent during the same timeline. Currently, the sector’s share in GDP stands at around 7.3 per cent, the report said.
