Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah reiterated on Thursday he will not resign as he again denied any wrongdoing in the allotment of 14 sites to his wife by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA). Terming the charges against him a "BJP conspiracy", Siddaramaiah said he would wage a legal fight.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Thursday that he would not be resigning from his post amid the MUDA scam allegations levied on him by BJP leaders.

Affirming that there was no question of Siddaramaiah resigning over the matter, Deputy CM DK Shivakumar dismissed the protest as mere political theatrics and accused BJP of attempting to stir a row.

"I am not afraid..." Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah declared Wednesday, shortly after a trial court said a police case must be filed against him - based on a complaint by activist Snehamayi Krishna - in connection with the alleged Mysuru Urban Development Authority land scam case.

Santosh Hegde dismissed the CM's claim that he has not committed anything wrong, and said the HC has found that prima facie there was evidence of wrongdoing.
